Casa Amarilla Clients
We came to Mazatlan on the first leg of our year trip traveling around Mexico. We found Casa Amarilla on a web search and rented the two bedroom apartment on line. Kym was really receptive to receiving our dog "Turk" after we assured her we are responsible dog owners. She liked him so much that she offered to dog sit for us when we took a short trip without him....we absolutely loved the neighborhood which is made up of many generations of Mazatlecos who were very receptive to having gringos in the neighborhood. Although we had a car we didnt use it in town as everything you need is within walking distance of Casa Amarilla. We found ourselves walking to the plaza Machado several nights a week to chat with people we have met in our journey or to stop by the "Tortullia" to get a 10 pesos pacifico or to go to the theatre to see a performance....we were very sad leaving this magnificent cultural port at the end of our two month stay. So much so that we visited Mazatlan again 7 months later at the end of our trip: staying once again at Casa Amarilla. It was a magnificent year filled with many memories that we will never forget.
